Magician Michael performs an interactive stage show where volunteers help create the magical experience.
This 45-minute comedy program is ideally suited for audiences of a dozen up to a few hundred people. Each show is customized for the audience, the theme and the location. Here's some of the effects you may experience in Magician Michael's show, "Elegant Mysteries From the Lost Magical Arts":
- Houdini's Escape Challenge, audience volunteers chain and padlock up the Magician, with hilarious results
- Totally Mental, paperback books are passed out to the audience, with mirthful psychic readings and the bare-handed ripping of a phone book
- Mondar The Barbarian, and his tongue-in-cheek presentation of chain eating, sword swallowing and beast wrangling
- Magician's Apprentice, friendly fun with a volunteer, a magic wand, and lots of money
- Silk through Flesh, a modern interpretation of sawing through a human
- The Mischievous Card, impossible stunts with playing cards, resulting in an unbelievable revelation of a chosen card in the most unusual of places
This show has played in venues throughout California, including hotels and resorts, convention halls, restaurants, factories, warehouses, theaters, parks, churches, temples and synagogues. Magician Michael E. Johnson has shared his stage shows throughout San Diego County, the Del Mar Fairgrounds, the California Center for the Arts Escondido, the Hotel Del Coronado, Four Seasons Aviara in Carlsbad, Marriott Resort and Marina, Hyatt Regency La Jolla, Sea World, the Wild Animal Park, the San Diego Zoo, and Legoland.
